Gaelic Song Class
“Gabh Òran!”
’S e sin na bhios Fear an Taighe ann an cèilidh ag èigheach nuair a bhios e ag iarraidh oirbh òran a ghabhail. Ann an “Gabh Òran!”, ionnsaichear òrain Ghàidhlig tro Sùm agus an uair sin thèid iad a sheinn aig cèilidhean. Ma tha sibh ann an clas Gàidhlig DumGal, ’s e cothrom a bhios ann ur cuid Gàidhlig a leasachadh ann an suidheachadh neo-fhoirmeil agus spòrsail; agus bidh fàilte chridheil oirbh cuideachd mura h-eil sibh anns na clasaichean, ach le ùidh agaibh anns na h-òrain. Gheibhear barrachd fiosrachaidh aig johnhowieson@outlook.com .
“Give us a song!”
That’s what the host at a cèilidh will shout over, to ask you to sing a song. In “Gabh Òran!”, you’ll be taught Gaelic songs through Zoom, and then all participants get the chance to meet in person and sing them at wee cèilidhs. If you’re in one of the Gàidhlig DumGal classes, it’s a good way to improve your Gaelic, in a situation that’s informal and good fun; and if you’re not in one of the classes, but you like the songs, there’ll be a warm welcome for you, too.
